As soon as I attached the GuanjunX bungee luggage strap to the retractable handle of my rolling bag, I knew I had found my new favourite travel aid. The GuanjunX bungee had my second bag securely attached to my wheeled luggage within seconds. I was in carry-on travel heaven!

What is a GuanjunX bungee luggage strap?

The GuanjunX bungee luggage strap is an adjustable strap designed to join a personal item to a rolling bag. Many personal items don’t have a luggage sleeve for the bag to slide over the telescopic handle of rolling luggage. A bungee luggage strap serves a similar purpose. The personal item sits on top of a rolling suitcase, securely fastened with a gentle stretch, resulting in no twisting, slipping, sliding, or falling off. The GuanjunX bungee luggage strap is an exceptional add-a-bag travel accessory.

Features of the GuanjunX bungee luggage strap

  • The sleek build and simplicity of the cross design make it easy to use.

  • It’s available in three different sizes (small, medium, and large) and three colours (black, green, and orange)
  • The strap is a durable, elasticized rubber band of PU (polyurethane) leather.
  • It’s lightweight and compact. My small size weighs 45 g / 1.6 oz and when not in use, packs into a tight bundle approximately 4 in / 10 cm square for easy storage.
  • It’s a simple, practical, inexpensive travel accessory priced around USD 10.
  • Based on the reviews on Amazon, it’s very popular with travellers.

How to use a bungee luggage strap with a rolling suitcase

A bungee luggage strap in a cross design quickly and easily attaches a second bag to the main one. Extend the retractable handle, loop the elastic straps without the buckles around the handle, place the second bag on top of the rolling suitcase, and loop the straps with the buckles over the handle. Adjust as necessary. It’s just as easy to take off and remove the second bag.

What are the advantages of a bungee luggage strap?

  • A bungee luggage strap works well with one-bag travel when a second bag nests inside the main carry-on bag. Take the second bag out when it’s needed, retrieve the bungee from a side pocket, and join the two bags. Reverse the process when returning to nesting mode.
  • It’s more versatile than a secondary bag with a luggage/trolley sleeve. The bungee is a cargo strap that can secure any bag – tote, duffel, messenger, backpack, briefcase, or another suitcase. It can also secure a box, blanket, pillow, jacket, or bulky outerwear. If you travel with a pet, a pet carrier sits securely in place.
  • Once the ‘cargo’ is secured, it doesn’t move, even when negotiating cobblestones, steps, curbs, or other challenges.
  • It lessens dependence on luggage carts that can’t access all areas of an airport.
  • Some travellers would rather check a bag than juggle luggage while negotiating an airport. A bungee luggage strap makes traversing large airports  much easier.
  • Consolidating several items of hand luggage as one package means fewer individual items to keep track of and manage. It frees hands and keeps weight off shoulders.

Care tips

Clean with a gentle soap and wipe with a cloth. It’s machine washable. Use a gentle cycle with cold water with the bungee in a bag for delicates to avoid unnecessary stress on the straps.

When not in use, it’s so lightweight and compact that it’s easy to lose or misplace. Place it in a small pouch or constrain it with a Velcro strap and store it in the outside pocket of your bag.
